Discipleship
At Excelsior United Methodist Church, we believe discipleship is a lifelong journey of growing in faith, deepening relationships, and learning to follow Jesus in everyday life. Whether you're just beginning your faith journey or have been walking with Christ for many years, there is a place for you to learn, grow, and belong.
This fall, we're excited to launch a new Sunday School program designed to help children grow in God's Word. Beyond Sunday mornings, we gather throughout the month in a variety of ways—from coffee shop fellowship and quilting to mission projects and special events that put our faith into action.
We're also looking ahead to new opportunities for spiritual growth, including an adult discussion group where we can reflect together on Sunday's message and discover how Scripture speaks into our daily lives.
One of our greatest joys is walking alongside young people as they grow in faith. In 2026, we celebrated the confirmation of a new class of students as they publicly affirmed their commitment to follow Christ—a reminder that God continues to call and shape disciples in every generation.
