Worship at Excelsior
Sunday Worship | 9:00 a.m.
At Excelsior United Methodist Church, worship is at the heart of who we are. Each Sunday at 9:00 a.m., we gather to praise God, hear His Word, pray together, and encourage one another as we seek to follow Christ.
Our recently renovated church blends modern comfort with the timeless beauty of a country sanctuary. While our facilities have been thoughtfully updated to serve future generations, we've remained committed to preserving the peaceful, reverent atmosphere that has welcomed worshipers for over 100 years.
Our worship style is best described as blended—honoring cherished traditions while embracing fresh expressions of faith. You'll hear beloved hymns alongside contemporary praise songs, experience meaningful liturgy, and find services that range from more formal celebrations to relaxed gatherings, depending on the season and occasion. Throughout the year, we regularly gather around the Lord's Table as part of our worship. Just as all are welcome in our church, all are welcome at Christ's table. We celebrate Holy Communion with an open table, trusting that Christ invites all who seek Him to come, receive His grace, and be nourished in faith. We also observe the Christian calendar with special services during Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and other significant days in the life of the Church.
Before and after worship, we invite you to enjoy fellowship in our welcoming gathering space. Our kitchen and fellowship hall host everything from coffee and conversation to those wonderful church potluck dinners that never disappoint! Our updated lower level also provides space for youth or adult gatherings and activities where children can learn, grow, and play.
We want every person to feel welcome at Excelsior. Our church is handicap accessible, and volunteers are happy to assist with parking or help you enter the building if needed.
Whether you're looking for a church home, returning to church after time away, or simply curious about faith, you'll find a warm welcome here. Come as you are—we'd love to worship with you!
